Father's Day

This year, for father's day, piper and i made brett breakfast in bed (it was a weird combination of breakfasty things that piper chose...i forget what they were). and there were lots of homemade gifts! i made brett a tie, and then really went to town making stuff to match it haha. piper got a matching skirt and hairbow. baby boy got a matching little tie. and i made a set of embroidered handkerchiefs to go with it. i was pretty pleased with how everything turned out. even though it turns out you have to HAND-SEW the back of a tie....who knew? the sacrifices i make....

we tried to get a good family picture after church with everyone in their matching clothes. my dress had lace trim that matched piper's skirt. and piper obviously matched brett's tie. they got lots of compliments on their sweet new clothes at church :)
after a few takes and some weird faces we got one i liked. i think brett may hate it, but when you're the pregnant mom, you get to be a litttttle more picky than the dad...even on father's day!

Happy belated Father's Day, Brett! we love you, and you're a GREAT dad...and next month you get to start all over again on a fresh baby!
