Last week we went with a BUNCH of friends to a "wild animal park."the wildness of the animals is debatable...there were goats, lemurs, a camel, deer, monkey things, a porcupine, a buffalo or something, some weird birds, horses, sheep, and the highlight: a lion. none of the kids seemed to mind that there weren't more "zoo" animals.
i took piper there once before, 2 summers ago, but she obviously got lots more out of it this time (since she's a big-girl-3-year-old now and stuff) since there were so many of us, we got a group rate that included a bag of animal feed. since my mom and i both went, we had 3 bags of animal feed between us (all of which piper used, because it looked like gross animal food cocoa puffs and i wasn't touching it....or any animals). piper was so hilarious because she wanted to feed the animals sooooo bad, but she would NOT put her hand close to them for them to eat out of her hand, so she spend the whole time throwing handfuls of food at them. they seemed not to mind too much.
