candy and sweets

Piper got Candy Land for her birthday and it has been probably her most used toy since then! she plays multiple times every day (usually with different people each time...she is spoiled living with so many adults). unfortunately she is becoming REALLLLLY competitive about it. any time she gets ahead of the other player, she says "i'm going to beat you!" And she hates losing. 

i feel like we have been really careful ever since we started playing structured games with her to NOT make it about winning and losing and more about being a good sport and just having fun. her sportsmanship is hit-and-miss, which is probably to be expected from a 3-year old. but so help you if she draws the "cupcake" card when she's near the castle....(if i have to explain this to you, you should play candyland)

Piper is also obsessed with Sweet Frog (frozen yogurt bar, if you don't know). she loves to get pink ice cream (strawberry) and say things like "this is so pinklish!" and for her toppings, she only likes sprinkles. and the best part is that the punch card there is by the cup so piper's miniscule portion (it's self-serve, so you can get a suuuuuper small amount for little kids which is great!) counts as a cup and we get a punch for it (or TWO punches if it is double-punch monday!...can you tell i'm also a little bit obsessed with this place?) she loves that she gets her very own ice cream. and we love that it's cheap and puts us closer to a free 12 ounces of sweet frog!!!
