Here is piper watching a show. she is so cute! she does cute stuff every day and i wish i took more pictures. it is funny how when she was so little, we took A MILLION pictures of her like every day! and she didn't even really DO anything. and now she does cute stuff all the time and i don't take nearly as many pictures. i've been working on it though. the first step was replacing the batteries in the camera. seriously, lithium batteries have changed our life. but then when they die (which they eventually do) i am so lazy about changing them.
Piper apologized for ruining their new couch by giving them kisses. so cute! sometimes she makes them kiss other people...or each other.
piper frequently spends half the day with peanut butter and/or jelly on her face. oh well.
helping mommy clean out a cabinet...with her elmo slippers. she tries to choose these for her shoes almost every day (unless i just choose shoes for her and don't let her see these).
i feel like i spend a lot of time translating piper-speak into full english because i spend so much time with her and understand what she's saying most of the time. she says lots of words, but it's kind of like she has a Baby Accent.
our current battle is bed time. we've been realllllllly big pushovers with bed time her whole life and we're trying to break her of her need to fall asleep in someone's arms or while watching Finding Nemo or The Office or anything else. We're trying to teach her to fall asleep in her bed, so hopefully by her second birthday she'll be falling asleep on her own. we've still been sitting or laying by her the last couple nights until she falls asleep, but it is definitely progress.
our other battle is food. piper is SUPER picky. she JUST ate her first chicken nugget this week. seriously, what kid doesn't eat chicken nuggets. i never thought i'd WISH my kid would eat more chicken nuggets. She loves breakfast foods (cheerios, oatmeal, waffles, raisin toast...) and rarely will even TASTE what we're having for dinner (with a notable exception being salad with vinegar and oil, which she likes. weird, no?) so we've been trying not to give in so much and trying to get her to at least taste new things without scaring her away from dinner altogether. it is a fine line.
next battle: potty training.

Luke is super super picky too. Drives me nuts! it's so hard!
Good luck with the new bedtime routine! That's got to be tough too
Wow, I am way impressed you braided a almost 2 year olds hair, so cute!!
Yay! Such cute pictures! Vince is more picky than Joss (she's starting to get a little more picky, but she'll eat just about anything if it is cut up small enough and I feed it to her with chopsticks... I think the size has something to do with the fact that she is very inexperienced with her molars).
I love this blog: http://www.howtohairdos.com/ she has a bunch of baby hairdos that I have tried out on Joss and they have been a big hit! :) I usually let Joss watch shows on my iPhone to get her to sit still.
Good luck with potty training. That will be our battle next weekend... honestly I'm scared to death. Not sure why... she WANTS to use the potty already, and Vince wasn't too hard to train...
