In our playroom, one of the most fun toys is a piano. a real piano. it was free when my parents got it many years ago and then it was free when they gave it to me. so yeah, free old piano...i highly recommend getting one. please do not be confused into thinking any of us PLAY piano. i took lessons when i was a kid, but alas, it is one of my life's biggest regrets that i didn't stick with it. (this is probably a regret that will haunt my children when i force them to take lessons). anyway, i enjoy playing piano, but i'm probably not even good enough to be a substitute primary pianist. so let's leave it at that.
Anyway, now piper likes playing piano, and i'm worried she's already catching up to me in skill-level. she's pretty good.
the other day she started picking out "twinkle twinkle little star," i helped her by putting two pieces of tape on the first and second notes so she could remember where to start, and she pretty much went from there. now she can play the whole song. prodigy, i tell you!
