Playgroup

i LOVE playgroup! seriously. i mean, i know it's meant for kids, but it is SO much fun for me to get together with my friends and hang out and chat while the kids play. piper and i BOTH need peer interaction. we have such an awesome playgroup organized here, and i feel super lucky to have a great group of friends with kids around piper's age. we've done some super fun stuff over the year. we've gone on a tour of a local fire station, visited the pet store, toured costco (personal favorite...the folks at costco really know how to do a great field trip, complete with free pizza and ice cream and costco name tags), spent many a day at the parks and playgrounds around town, picked strawberries at a farm, and spent hours playing at everyone's houses!

i guess i'm feeling nostalgic about it because playgroup is technically over for the summer since everyone's older kids get out of school next week. but never fear, we'll still meet up at the park pretty often. although i can't imagine i'm going to be wanting to spend tons of time hanging around outside in july/august when i'm 8-9 months pregnant...we'll see.
