typical weekend

one of my favorite things every week is out saturday routine. after everyone has exercised or showered or whatever it is people need to do to get ready, we go out with my parents to our usual places. We almost ALWAYS go to costco. the best samples are on saturdays and the crowds aren't TOO bad. Then we usually go to the mall or old navy or tjmaxx and ross (also known as "other tjmaxx"), or if we're really unfortunate, walmart. then we go out to lunch. then we go home and people take naps and relax or get stuff done.

piper wore the wings all day until we saw this moon bounce and we told her it would probably be best if she took the wings off to go in. she got to bounce for 5 whole minutes all by herself and had a total blast! definitely worth the 3 dollar donation to relay for life (i think that's what the charity was).

i love saturdays! we rounded out this saturday by my hanging out in the craft room all afternoon making a baby blanket, some hairbows and bowties, and turning some kind-of-big shirts into maternity shirts. all while brett and piper took a nice long nap downstairs.

then brett, piper, and i went to target...where piper pooped her pants (so weird...and gross). so we had to leave, piper underwear-less and brett with a dirty pair of princess panties wrapped up in paper towels in his pocket. and me with two new maternity dresses for which i (obviously) had coupons and which had (after months of me patiently waiting) finally gone on clearance for 50% off. so i'd call it a success overall. brett might disagree.
