for now, here are a few pictures from the end of summer. if you want to see more, check facebook. We had a GREAT time at the beach and took a million pictures (most of which are on my mom's facebook.) then the week after we got back from the beach was crazy busy from all the stuff we DIDN'T do while we were gone. but it was totally worth it!
Brett went back to school yesterday, and my mom went back to work today. this summer was SO fun having everyone home to do fun things with me.
Piper is growing up so much! she says lots of words, including: cat, dog, mom, dad, cup, clock, shoes, george, and occasionally other words too....oh and she thinks the cow says "poo" no matter how many times we try to tell her it is actually "moo."
Piper is also in a big girl bed now! it is going GREAT. honestly, she has always hated the crib and has put up such a fight when we put her in it. we had started letting her fall asleep on the floor and then moving her to the crib, which was working ok, but then she'd still sometimes wake up when we tried to put her in the crib. part of the problem was how low the mattress was, to prevent her from climbing out. but brett and i aren't tall enough and don't have long enough arms to lay her in the crib like that! she seems really proud of her new bed and will show anyone who asks about it.
Piper is really into Elmo these days. she likes sesame street ok, but she LOVES the elmo's world segment. it is the only thing she will sit and watch for the whole 20 minutes or so. she's watching one about skin right now. we dvr sesame street occasionally and then i'll just fast forward to elmo's world. so she has like 4 different ones on tivo. her favorite is the jumping one. the first time she watched it, she jumped nearly the whole time. she had to be tired after that.

if there is ever a paper towel roll or toilet paper roll around, piper WILL find a way to get her hand inside.

ohhh, glad you're bloggin again. i love checking in and seeing what everyone is up to. i hate that we didn't get to chat more at the wedding, i really wanted to come up and talk and see how you were doing, but didn't to before we left, we were in a hurry to get the kids. i did get to meet your mom though and talked with her for a while, what a sweetheart. anyway, piper is a doll. so cute. i love this age, maddie was just so fun and full of spunk too. oh to have spunk again...now it's full blown diva-ness. outta control. you have so much to look forward to;)
piper is getting so big... she is such a little woman these days. :) she makes me want a girl this time around- she is just so cute. maddex is growing fast also- his new line is... "i do it- all by myself..."
