We had a dr appointment on friday, and that went GREAT. and by great i mean i only gained 2 pounds in the last month. unfortunately, due to our fabulously fun weekend (and fun and food go together) i'm sure i gained about 5 pounds in the last couple days. i have another appointment the 27th, so we'll see. i have a week to get the weight in check. is it sad that i am worrying about this right now? probably. but whatever, baby is growing fine and she is healthy, so i'll obsess over my weight all i want.ok so i was GOING to make a few posts to talk about all the fun things we did this weekend, but i think i'm just going to lump it all in here.
ok so saturday was valentine's day, and it was GREAT! Brett's birthday package from my mom came that morning, we had delicious muffins for breakfast, went shopping a little, ate lunch at Bajio, went to see Madagascar 2, which was hilarious. and, we survived the absurd amount of snow that came that day. Also brett would probably be mad if i didn't mention the roses he got me. i don't think he's ever been so proud of himself ;)
Ok so then monday was brett's birthday. Can you even believe he is 25 years old? that feels like so much older than 24. anyway, we spent the morning cleaning and rearranging furniture. then we had a little birthday party and brett invited a couple friends over. I made brett a monkey cake for his jungle-themed party. well, i got some jungle plates and napkins from target, so i thought a monkey cake was appropriate. anyway, i think it turned out pretty cute. looks just like brett sort of. let me just warn you, if you ever try to make a monkey cake, monkey ears are difficult to frost. Monday afternoon we did a little shopping (baby has a stroller now!) and ate a delicious dinner at Olive Garden, thanks to a coupon and a gift card from my parents.
It's really nice to know where we're going to PT school...it was nice to have lots of options, but more than that, it's nice to be done trying to make a decision. We're really excited to be going back home.

seriously...you should go into cupcake and cake decorating. That cake is soo cute. You will have to teach me. That is amazing.
whoa what a exciting few weeks you guys have had. congrats brett on choosing Shen. i don't think you'll be disappointed in your choice. you come to realize as you get older and have kids (which you're now like sooooo much older (happy birthday)) that there's just nothing more important than being around you're family, and having them for support. amanda, you look great. trust me, i can appreciate the excitement in only gaining two pounds in a month. i used to be happy for weeks with news like that. hope all is well out there. take care

haha okay so i totally just read your comment and then called the doctor and got my prescription changed to yasmin. i feel so relieved. so tell me about yasmin!!

You look so good.. Im so excited for you guys- I got you a little something- I really need to get your address though- maybe justin has it. Tanner and I were trying to think of a theme for Maddex's 1st b-day and we were thinking Jungle Animals... lol- that makes me laugh. I LOVED THE CAKE... might just have to do that one... I was thinking an elephant... more cake! :)
