projects.

i have been working on so many projects lately! i feel like with hudson's newfound (thanks to a couple days of cry-it-out....which is MUCH easier to do when you live in a big house instead of a basement) ability to put himself to sleep (even if his naps are still sooooo short), and my kids recent inclination to go to bed earlier than piper EVER did when she was a baby, i've had a LITTLE more time to work on projects. i tried to get a bunch of stuff done before piper's birthday party, and i did get a lot done, but i don't have pictures of all of it, hopefully soon!

start of a gallery wall (glad i took this picture because this promptly got messed up and i had to refer back to this when we went to hang it). i took a plain old framed cork board and painted the frame and the polka dots. i LOVE the way it turned out, and it was maybe a 10 minute spur-of-the-moment project!

i love this doll! this was for our friend Anna's second birthday and i made her a matching skirt too. i think this turned out so cute! i used the Black Apple Doll pattern

some other stuffed friends i've made recently...i made piper  a doll to match Anna's. i actually made them simultaneously because i wanted to fix anything that went wrong on piper's so Anna's would be perfect (turned out to be a pretty good system). i also made this pink dinosaur. and the argyle sweater cat is GIANT. my inspirations were these Blabla dolls, which i think are so cute, but so expensive! i made this cat one evening out of one of brett's old sweaters in the get-rid-of pile! i pretty much only do projects i can finish in one sitting.

painted dinosaurs for piper to play with and to use as decorations at her birthday party! i got these in the dollar section at target and just painted them bright pink and green! 

once again, the giant bed-sheet-turned-dinosaur-tapestry.
