Easter

Easter fell right in the middle of Piper's birthday weekend extravaganza (egg-stravaganza? dang, i love puns). We started out the morning with a bang. piper came into our room crying and confused and with blood all over her face and hands. brett kinda freaked, but i recognize a bloody nose when i see one, so i was not as disturbed as either of them. after we got piper cleaned up and calmed down, everyone was ready to go down and check out what the easter bunny brought!

Piper checking out her loot. EB forgot to buy easter grass, so he had to cut up a bunch of green scrap fabric for the bottom of the baskets. but don't worry. i think he got some for next year out of the target 90% off easter clearance ;)

hanging out with daddy, and his new monkey....this monkey is AWESOME!  i REALLY wanted to buy Hudson Sophie the Giraffe because she's so adorable and he has been teething like mad.  buuuut, 23 dollars seemed like a lot to pay for a teething toy that he might not even LIKE. then we found this monkey (a total sophie knock-off) at target and it was only 12 dollars, which was at least a LITTLE better. (plus then my mom ended up buying it for him anyway). and it turns out he LOVES it!

 Regrettably, i did NOT take a picture of my kids in their adorable matching easter outfits! the weather was really crummy on easter, so i'll just wait for a nice day and make them wear those outfits again for a picture! just know they were adorable in their matching seersucker!
