v-day love

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you! and most of all to my two valentines!
i'm SO lucky to have brett! he's the perfect husband for me and the perfect dad for piper. God definitely knew i'd need someone who was willing to do laundry because a) i ALWAYS forget to do it and b) i hate doing it, which is probably why i forget. I'm so proud of how hard brett works in school for our family, and that he always put us first and STILL kicked school's butt. hard to believe we'll be done with school and doing "real life" pretty soon but i'm really excited for brett to get to do physical therapy (and getting paid for it, as opposed to right now, where he does physical therapy and PAYS the school for the chance.) a few other things that are great about brett:
-he plays with piper in a way i just can't (i'm just not as good at chasing and wrestling as they are i guess...piper doesn't even want to play like that with me usually). they have such a special relationship and she's always been a little bit of a daddy's girl.
-he has been really encouraging over the last year as i've started running, and always lets me go out for a run whenever i want/need to. and he unknowingly encourages me by running too! i'm pretty competitive, and while i can't run as fast as him, i CAN run as far as him, so i really don't like him to beat me in weekly or monthly mileage. it's dumb, i know. but it keeps me running, even when it's cold.
-he watches stuff i want to watch. example: we watched Breaking Dawn last night. and it wasn't even the first time i made him see it.
-he is really supportive of me serving with the Young Women in the ward at church, even though it is a pretty time-consuming calling. and he gets to serve with the Young Men in the stake, and he's so great at it and so committed to them. he's such a good example to them and to me, and he has so much to share with them!
I love brett so much and i don't say it enough! Brett, you're the best and i love you the very most!

and happy valentine's day to piper! piper is so much fun and i am so glad i get to spend time with her every day! she is at such a fun age and she says so much hilarious stuff! and she's genuinely helpful with some stuff now. she gives a million hugs and kisses and tells everyone they're her "best friend" and it's so sweet! i like that everyone can be her best friend at the same time! she is potty trained, which is awesome. she loves watching movies. she loves singing songs, and she really loves changing the words to real songs to have her name or others' names in them (example: twinkle twinkle little piper. how i wonder what you mommy.) she loves coloring and drawing and has recently started drawing figures that are recognizable as people, which is super fun.
piper has been so excited for valentine's day, we've been making "decorations" a couple times a week (this mostly consists of me cutting out hearts with a punch or on the cricut or by hand and piper taping them all over the house. she also loved picking out princess valentines for all her friends at playgroup and i'm pretty sure she's going to LOVE the valentine's party for playgroup today!
I love you piper, and even though i say it about a million times a day, one more won't hurt! you're my best friend :)
