snowday (in october?)

the saturday before halloween we got a freak snowstorm. it was really unusual for this time of year, but piper didn't caret! she thought it was pretty cool. here she is in her snowsuit, getting ready to go outside. the good news is that this snowsuit finally fits her pretty great.

piper and brett built this snowman. piper was super excited. she is always singing a song about a snowman that goes (for those of you who don't know it) "Once there was a snowman, snowman snowman. Once there was a snowman tall tall tall! In the sun he melted, melted, melted. In the sun he melted small small small."  it is a pretty catchy song.

post-snow hot chocolate. one of piper's new favorite treats! it was a fun day, but i would be perfectly happy if that was all the snow we got all winter.
