18 months.

Today piper is 18 months old! it is hard to believe she has been here for a year and a half. in some ways, i can hardly remember what it was like to NOT have piper and in some ways, i can't believe my little baby is so grown up!

she is turning into her own little person. she has opinions about everything now and she will surely let you know if she does or doesn't want to do or wear or eat or watch something.

yesterday, she wanted to play outside. anyone who lives on the east coast knows that this was NOT a possibility pretty much this whole week due to the monsoon raging outside. but after so much whining, i let her go stand on the porch in the rain, fully expecting her to realize why we wouldn't want to play outside(the fact that it was 65 degrees and pouring down rain). but no, she stomped around on the porch, grinning for 5 minutes until she decided to try to escape and then I had to go get her. don't worry, i didn't let her get sick or anything, we immediately dried off and changed clothes....she promptly begged to go out again (but i said no because i'm mean).
